Corinna Lathan Named as One of Fast Company's 100 Most Creative Business Persons in U.S.
Corinna Lathan, co-founder of Mtech Technology Advancement Program incubator graduate AnthroTronix Inc. has been named one of the 100 most creative people in business in 2010 by Fast Company magazine. From the Fast Company Profile: "[AnthroTronix] works on robot control on the International Space Station for NASA and data gloves to control a robot arm for bomb disposal for the Department of Defense, but what's even more impressive is a social robot that helps kids who need physical therapy. A trial at the Mayo Clinic found that therapy was more effective when children interacted with AnthroTronix's CosmoBot." AnthroTronix is a research and development (R&D) firm specializing in the development of advanced interface technology, product development for wearable computing and robotic control systems, and design, development, and testing of simulation tools for training applications. The company supplies its R&D services and advanced product development to commercial and governmental customers. As an innovative R&D company, AnthroTronix responds to a diverse client base from government agencies to private sector firms in the fields of rehabiitation, education, entertainment, military, and space. She was named a Technology Pioneer and a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum as well as Maryland's "Top Innovator of the Year" and one of MIT Technology Review Magazine's "Top 100 World Innovators Under the age of 35." She also received the Women in Technology Leadership Award for Entrepreneurship and was featured in their book No One Path: Perspectives on Leadership from a Decade of Women in Technology Award Winners. AnthroTronix graduated from TAP in 2003.
